YOU SEE NOTHING

Heavy insulation around the tank prevents the light and sound from entering the tank, water and air inside it are heated at body temperature (36.6-37 °C).
The epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) fights gravity and allows your body to float in the water as well as helps with the regeneration of the tissues of your body.
All of these factors combined allow the analytical part of your brain to shut off and activate the creative part.
(thanks to the epsom salt, which improves circulation and helps with decreasing the levels of lactic acid in the muscles). Magnesium sulfate is a muscle relaxer and a building block of proteins in the joints. It absorbs directly into the muscles and improves muscle recovery after injuries or intensive training.
“The sensory deprivation chamber is the most important tool I’ve ever used for developing my mind, for thinking, for evolving.”
“Words can’t really described what was happening. That was like one of the weirdest, like best experience I ever had.”
“I have a very clear head when it’s done, and it shows in the days after floating. It gives me a nice boost of focus and perspective. The more I do it, the more I get from it.”
The benefits of floating are supported by numerous studies. (You can find them under the Scientific Research tab.)
But here’s one study that stands out:
In October 2014, Anette Kjellgren and Jessica Westman conducted a study with 65 participants.
Floating Group: 37 participants
Control group: 28 participants
The Floating Group received 12 float sessions (45 minutes per session) over a span of 7 weeks.
